Working with a masterpiece like the Malagolina from Catellani & Smith allowed us to explore the profound relationship between light and artisan texture. Our focus was on capturing the soul of the lamp by highlighting its artisanal fiberglass surface and the warm ethereal glow that emanates from within. We aimed to translate the tactile luxury of the original piece into a visual experience, emphasizing how the golden interior creates a dramatic atmospheric silhouette against the shadows.

In this collaboration, we pushed our technical boundaries to simulate the intricate “cracked” textures and the soft diffusion of light that are hallmarks of the brand. By meticulously balancing the warm luminance against a moody, minimalist backdrop, we’ve created a digital tribute that honors the artistic heritage of Catellani & Smith.
