We’ve always been fascinated by the idea of a retreat that feels completely integrated into its environment, which led to the creation of this hidden sanctuary. The concept centers on a masculine, semi-safe house aesthetic, utilizing heavy stone and concrete to provide a sense of absolute security within the wild. By contrasting these bold, structural volumes with expansive glass, we have managed to create a space that feels protected yet remains entirely open to the surrounding forest, offering a perfect balance of solitude and immersion.

Beyond the architecture, we focused heavily on the relationship between the structure and the untamed landscape. We meticulously crafted the forest environment, from the moss-covered rocks to the dense, layered greenery, to ensure the building looks like a natural extension of the terrain. This project was a deep dive into atmospheric rendering, where we played with shadows and natural light to evoke a moody, cinematic feel that truly brings this “hideout” to life.
